Thursday Movie Rental Review 1/22

I love Lisa Kudrow, if I see something with her as a main character, I’m pretty confident it will be an interesting and or funny story…

And, my instincts did not fail me when I rented Kabluey. The story line is funny, the characters interesting.

Lisa Kudrow plays a self-absorbed and overwhelmed army wife, whose under achieving brother in-law moves in to help out with the children. In the end, they are both better off because of the other.

I really enjoyed Kabluey and would recommend it anyone who appreciates an “indie” type of feel.

Next, we have Humbolt County. yes, the Humbolt County.

Nice Jewish boy fails medical school. Same boy meets fun loving girl. Girl takes boy home to Humbolt County to meet her family.

Boy finds himself.

This was enjoyable, in no way a “stoner” movie. The scenery is beautiful and the characters rich. I felt for the boy in trying to escape the chaos, then then chaos makes sense….it won’t get any Oscar noms but it’s entertaining.
